• In order to get rid of the smell (especially true for sports sneakers), then wipe the shoes inside with a weak solution of potassium permanganate or after washing, while the shoes dry, put an orange or tangerine peel inside.
• If a piece of skin is torn off, then it can be glued with nail polish.
