Dysport: main advantages and disadvantages
We all sooner or later face the appearance of the first wrinkles. And, if a couple of decades ago, practically nothing could be done about this, now every girl has a fairly large selection of high-quality anti-ageing cosmetics, cosmetic procedures, and even aesthetic surgery services to choose from. And more and more girls are betting on dysport injections as a successful alternative to the somewhat worse proven Botox.
Dysport: what is it?
The main active ingredient of Dysport is highly purified botulinum toxin type A. In fact, Dysport and Botox have a very similar effect. The component has a slight paralyzing effect on the muscles, due to which there is a temporary blockage of their mobility. It is thanks to the relaxing effect of Dysport that mimic wrinkles are corrected in a short period of time. As a rule, Dysport injections are prescribed before Botox injections, as this is an “easier" option. Most cosmetologists claim that Dysport is safer and less toxic than Botox.
How and why is dysport used?
The drug is used in the beauty industry to rejuvenate the neck, décolleté, face. This is the best injection option, which is used when the first signs of aging appear, and especially mimic wrinkles in the forehead and bridge of the nose. In the lower third of the face, dysport, as a rule, is not pricked. Unlike the American analogue (Botox), the production of Dysport uses a different type of toxin A purification.
Due to this, the difference between the two drugs is determined, which consists in the number of active units. Only a beautician can determine the required dosage for each area.
The main difference between Dysport and Botox: what is it? Which drug is better to choose for yourself?
However, it is known that Dysport injections use 2-4 times more active units than Botox injections. This indicator does not mean at all that the effect of injections on the body is more toxic. The main component of Dysport (botulinum toxin) is used for cosmetic purposes in scanty doses, so it's not worth talking about harmfulness in this case.
Main advantages of Dysport:
- Dysport is less toxic than Botox, and therefore more functional;
