While wearing contact lenses, protein deposits are deposited on them and various microorganisms settle. With their excessive accumulation of these substances on the surface of the lenses, there may be a feeling of sand in the eyes and redness of the mucous membrane may appear. To combat this problem, there are special cleaning solutions, which are recommended to be purchased at the same time as the lenses.
Store contact lenses in a container filled with lens storage liquid. Often the container and liquid are sold as a set, but you can purchase them separately. Being in a hermetically sealed container, the lenses are saturated with moisture and cleaned of protein deposits and microbes. Lens storage fluid should be changed regularly. Depending on the manufacturer of the fluid, it can be replaced daily or once a week.
An important point in the care of contact lenses is their cleaning. Contact lenses should be cleaned very carefully so as not to scratch their surface or deform them. It is necessary to clean the lenses one by one so as not to mix them up. Even if the eyes see the same way and myopia or hyperopia is a certain number of diopters, it is not recommended to swap the right and left lenses in places.
