Shaded arrows: how to do this makeup?
Arrows are one of the most common eye makeup options. But even despite its popularity, it must be taken into account that black, graphic arrows drawn with liquid eyeliner are a rather specific make-up, which, firstly, requires very good practice in make-up: drawing them is quite difficult, and secondly, not everyone there is a rich black color, and for the impending or age-related eyelids, this is completely utopia, because the arrows will either not be visible, or they will not decorate at all. A more versatile option is a feathered arrow. This makeup option looks much softer, it is quite simple to perform: you will hardly spend more time on it than on drawing classic arrows, it requires a little cosmetics. And, in this article, we would like to talk a little more about how
- After you have done your face makeup and shaped your eyebrows, prepare your eyelids for makeup. Spread an eyeshadow base or a thin layer of foundation or concealer over the entire surface, then set with skin tone powder or beige matte shadows.
- Before drawing an arrow, it is very important to draw the shape of the eyes, to shape their sculpture. Otherwise, the look will look as if “flat". On the skin of the moving eyelids, except for the outer corners, blend the shining shadows of a light shade. Darken the outer corners and the crease with brown or gray-lilac matte shadows. natural brush. It is very important that there are no graphic lines at this stage of makeup. We just need to highlight the upper eyelid and make the eye itself more sculpted.
- Lightly highlight the lower eyelid with a pencil brush and the same shade of eyeshadow that you used to highlight the crease of the upper eyelid.
- Line the upper lash line with a permanent black eyeliner. Thanks to this, when you draw an arrow, there will be no gaps that are very noticeable with bright eye makeup. Do not forget to also make an inter-eyelash arrow. To do this, it is enough just to fill the space between the eyelashes with a dark pencil, or with a gel eyeliner using an angled brush. This technique will help to remove the light “gap” between the painted eyelashes and the arrow, so the makeup will look more holistic and neat.
- Using a thin brush and gel eyeliner (or liner), draw a classic arrow. The arrow does not have to be perfect at all: even if you messed up a little somewhere, keep in mind that you will do shading further, so small flaws will not be noticeable.
- With a small pencil brush, blend the line until it is fixed. To make the transition even smoother, use the same brush to add some brown matte shadows to the shading (do not forget to first clean the brush from the eyeliner with a cotton pad). If this option is too complicated for you (and we are well aware that shading gel eyeliner is a whole thing), then you can draw an arrow using black shadows. Shading it will definitely be much easier.
- Further, the manipulation should be repeated. After you have drawn and blended the wing in the first step, add eyeliner or eye shadow to the peri-lash area and blend again.
- Keep in mind that black color never blends smoothly into the skin. Therefore, it is very important to shade the borders of such an arrow with a transitional shade. To do this, take matte brown shadows and blend them exclusively with the border of the arrow. It's definitely not worth stepping into the peri-ciliary space with brown shadows.
- If you drew an arrow with liquid eyeliner, be sure to duplicate it with black shadows. Thus, the makeup will look like more velvet.
- Fill your lashes with black voluminous mascara. Also, at this stage, you can add false eyelashes.
Feathered arrows in combination with pink and purple shadows will look even more spectacular if you add glitter to the moving eyelids. This will give a very interesting zest to the makeup, it will look more voluminous. By the way, it is this makeup option – with feathered arrows and cold shades of pink and purple shades, that looks very cool on brides. Complete the make-up with matte lipstick in soft pink and add a little blush to the apples of your cheeks. This makeup is also suitable for the impending century, since the problem area is darkened. And do not forget to pre-prepare your face with concealer and foundation – it should look flawless in combination with a fairly accentuated eye makeup.
