What is a bronzer for?
Bronzer is perhaps one of the most underrated beauty products and is usually found either in the cases of professional makeup artists or in the cosmetic bags of girls who, one way or another, are into makeup. But in fact, it is the bronzer that is able to perfectly refresh makeup, make the face fresher, rested and give the same look as if you had just returned from a vacation at sea. Of course, both the use of a bronzer and the choice of such a cosmetic product have their own nuances. And it is about them that we would like to talk in more detail in this article.
Bronzer: what is it?
Bronzer, in fact, is a tool designed to make the tone of makeup warmer and create the effect of a tanned face. In no case should you confuse a bronzer with a sculptor, the latter, in turn, is designed to correct facial features. Bronzer, in any case, should have a warm undertone. The tool can be released in different form factors, for example, powder, cream, liquid, it can be with or without a shimmer.
How to use a bronzer correctly?
For a more sculpted and tanned look, apply a creamy neutral brown concealer under the cheekbones and temples, and under the jaw line. The difference between a sculpting corrector and a bronzer is that its shade is cooler and more like a natural shadow, while the bronzer gives the appearance of tanned and healthy skin. You may well apply bronzer under the cheekbone, but at the same time, blend the product very well.
Bronzer can be distributed in several ways. However, there is a universal one that will suit everyone. Apply the product to the areas that tan the fastest. With a brush, go over the cheekbones, tip of the nose, forehead and chin. Movement should be light. And don't put too much on the brush, it's easy to go overboard with a bronzer. It is best to shake off the bronzer from the brush, or already remove the excess with your hand. Keep in mind that it is always easier to add a remedy than to remove excess from the face.
If you want all your makeup to be in the same color tone, then you can use bronzer not only to correct your face and give it a tanned look, but also for eye makeup. Apply a matte bronzer to the crease of the upper eyelid, lightly blend. Some girls like to use bronzer as a blush. But keep in mind that this “trick" works exclusively on warm-skinned young ladies with a pronounced warm skin tone.
If you have fair skin, then bronzer should be applied in a certain way. A liquid or cream bronzer works best. Using your fingers, place dots along the hairline, on the cheekbones, chin and temples. Blend well. Then add a little bronzer with a shimmer to the same areas. The most important thing in using a bronzer is proper shading. This is a tool that absolutely does not accept any clear graphic lines.
Swarthy girls, choosing a technique, it is best to adhere to the "rule of three". Using a brush, draw the number "3" on both sides of the face: the beginning is the hairline, then the middle of the temple, cheekbones and chin. Blend thoroughly.
It is very important to apply bronzer on those parts of the face that tan the fastest. Namely – the nose, forehead, lateral surfaces of the forehead, cheekbones.
If you drew too clear lines with a bronzer, a light-colored powder will save the situation. Type it on the brush and blend it well on the “problem” areas.
If we are talking about a liquid bronzer, then there is another way to apply: you can mix the product into a foundation that is too light for you to significantly adjust its shade.
What brush should I use for bronzer?
If you use a powder bronzer, then a brush made of natural bristles is the best for you. Choose the shape of the "torch". If you want to achieve an even more natural effect, then you can use a powder brush. If you have a liquid or cream bronzer, then a synthetic bristle brush will do. Some even like to apply and blend bronzers with their fingers.
How to choose the right bronzer?
For beginners, we recommend choosing powder bronzers with a light satin finish. Unfortunately, matte is much easier to spot when shading. And liquid and cream are suitable for girls with experience in makeup, such textures can be quite difficult to blend. Choose ashy, slightly cool bronzer shades. They will look natural on the skin. But it is better to refuse redheads. But if your skin has a fairly pronounced warm undertone, then you may well take reddish bronzers. Most likely, they will not look foreign on your face.
