These unaesthetic manifestations are observed year-round, but are especially pronounced in hot weather. Proper care will help minimize these manifestations and allow you to feel confident every day. Consider the system of proper care for problem skin in more detail.
Basic rules for care
The most common mistake in skin care is that a person tries to eliminate or mask the symptoms, and not the cause of their occurrence. It is important to understand that the skin is an organ, and therefore how it looks directly depends on the internal processes in the body. The reason why acne, black dots and oily sheen appear on the skin is a violation of the sebaceous glands.
Why is their work disrupted? This is mainly due to factors such as:
- nervous stress;
- environment;
- unhealthy lifestyle and nutrition;
- bad habits;
- improperly selected cosmetics and personal hygiene products;
- hormonal disruptions, etc.
The sharp appearance of painful acne or blackheads can happen due to frequent interaction of the skin of the face with hands, phone or glasses. Touching your face transfers bacteria to your skin. Bacteria, in turn, enter the pores and there, interacting with sebum, inflammatory processes begin.
Therefore, you should not often touch your face with your hands, and even more so try to get rid of acne by squeezing them out. So you only increase the focus of inflammation. Clean your phone and glasses from time to time with antibacterial agents, such as chlorhexidine solution.
If you use cosmetics, then you need to carefully study their composition. Some components can provoke acne and blackheads. So, foundation can block pores, disrupting natural processes, so it's better to replace it with powder. It is also better to give up cosmetics that include petroleum jelly, mineral oils, lanolin, paraffin, etc. These components disrupt the functioning of the sebaceous glands and provoke unpleasant consequences.
Pay attention to what you eat every day. Are there enough vitamins and minerals? Is there a balance between carbohydrates, fats and proteins? Stick to the basic principles of proper nutrition, eat more greens and fiber. At the same time, reduce your intake of fatty, spicy, and fried foods. Reduce the amount of sugar consumed, incl. giving up sugary soda.
It is equally important to properly cleanse the skin. Do the cleaning no more than twice a day. Ideally after waking up and before bed. It's important not to dry out your skin, so choose your cleanser for your skin type. A mistake is often made when a person is sure that the better the skin dries, the more effectively it helps in the fight against excess fat. As a result, this approach leads to an imbalance, and sebum is produced even more actively.
If nothing helps, then consult an endocrinologist. And remember, the condition of the skin is influenced by both external and internal factors. Proper care is to consider both factors. Proper nutrition, healthy sleep, lack of stress can help, but on the condition that you choose the right cosmetics and personal care products.
